BOOKING POLICIES

At Sangamon River Outfitters, we prioritize providing exceptional hunting experiences. To ensure availability and secure your reservation, please review our booking policies outlined below:

1. Limited Availability: Our hunts have limited availability, and we do not hold reservations without a paid deposit. To guarantee your spot, we recommend booking in advance.

2. Deposit Requirement: To secure your reservation, a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be due upon arrival at Sangamon River Outfitters. We accept cash, certified check, Venmo, or PayPal as forms of payment. The full balance must be settled before the start of your hunt.

3. Identification and Hunting License: All hunters must present valid identification and provide proof of a current hunting license(s) before participating in our hunts. Compliance with local hunting regulations is mandatory.

4. Health and Safety: While maintaining all reasonable care and precautions for the safety of our clients, we assume no responsibility for any health risks, accidents, or loss or expense arising during your hunt. If you have any health or medical concerns, medications, or dietary needs, please let us know.

Whitetail:
To uphold our commitment to responsible management, the following guidelines apply to Whitetail hunting:

  • Buck Requirements: All harvested bucks must have at least 8 points, and their antlers must be outside their ears.

  • Management Guidelines: We prioritize responsible harvesting to maintain healthy deer populations. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a $500 fine, as we uphold the integrity of our management practices. Additionally, if a deer is wounded and not recovered, it will count as your kill. While our experienced guides take great care to minimize these instances, it is essential to note that rare circumstances can occur. Rest assured that our team works diligently to ensure successful recoveries.

Waterfowl:
For our Waterfowl hunts, please note the following specifics:

  • Group Size: Each week, we limit our group size to no more than 4 to 5 duck hunters. This ensures an optimal hunting experience for all participants.

  • Migratory Bird Reporting: It is mandatory to report all migratory bird kills each day of the hunt, as required by regulations. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain accurate records.

We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable hunting environment for all our guests. By adhering to these booking policies and guidelines, we can ensure a smooth and successful hunting experience. If you have any further questions or require additional information, please don't hesitate to contact us.
